Overview
Porsche’s last attempt at creating a supercar yielded the gorgeous and ridiculously fast Carrera GT, so why not try it again, this time with a convertible? Behold, the Porsche 918 Spyder, which made its videogame debut in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and returns for a second tour of duty in SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED. Powered by a 3.4-liter V8, which produces 500 horsepower and three electric motors that kick in an additional 218 ponies, the Spyder – which was recently approved for production – the 918 Spyder is the world’s most powerful plug-in hybrid.
