1970 Porsche 914/6 GT
Overview
Powered by a 2-liter flat-six, the Porsche 914-6 GT is an impressive little race car which was the result of a collaboration between Porsche and Volkswagen in an effort to make a sporty car, as VW needed a car to replace the long-in-the-tooth Karmann-Ghia, and Porsche was looking to add another car to its stable. In 1970, Porsche placed a 914/6 GT in the 24 Hours Le Mans race, finishing sixth and winning its class.
