Chevrolet Cobalt SS
Overview
After being left in the dust for decades by competitors who were making fun-to-drive compacts, Chevrolet finally got their act together in 2006 when they released the Cobalt SS, a supercharged version of the company’s entry-level coupe. With a garish whale-tail rear spoiler and large polished aluminum wheels, the car stood out in a sea of bland offerings from the automaker at the time of its release. With 205 horsepower coming from its supercharged four, Cobalt gave Chevrolet a contender in the sport-compact world.
