Aston Martin Racing DBR9 GT1
Overview
As Aston Martin’s top racecar – the DBRS9 races on GT3-level series – the DBR9 made its debut at the 2005 12 Hours of Sebring and since then has won a Teams’ Championship (2006 Le Mans Series), a Constructors Championship (2006 FIA GT1), and a Drivers Championship (2006 Le Mans Series), and took second overall in the 2010 GT1 Teams Championship with team Hexis AMR. With its aluminum frame and carbon fiber composite body panels (except the roof, which is aluminum), the DBR9 tips the scales at 2,400 pounds, and its svelte physique helps the car tear up the tarmac from 0-60 in a mere 3.4 seconds.
